Although I said I'm going to blog only after the concert, I've the urge to blog now simply cos I'm sooo happy with my achievements today.
I fantastically managed to blade faster today, probably twice the speed since I bladed the last time. So it's no longer me being overtaken by joggers but me overtaking joggers! And I can overtake kiddy bikes too. Just not the big bikes, yet. Hurhur. We bladed for approximately FOUR hours. Though the first time I bladed i.e. before lunch, was only bout one hour plus a bit cos I stupidly miscounted the no. of hours. From 1147-1300, I assumed it was 2 hours without bothering to count properly. So now you people know how bad my maths is which explains why I got a B when everyone else had gotten an A. Lol. So essentially, I spent 10 bucks for one hour of blading. Call me moronic. Lol. So we went for lunch at Hongkong Cafe and then bladed again. I tried on Amanda's pro blades, without the guards! It's damn 'slippery' and very easy to glide and so I was terribly afraid of falling cos no guards equals no protection. Plus, it's really times XXX times more slippery. Gosh. So I went from relatively fast blading to newbie walking. Lol. Damn scared! In the end I fell cos my legs were being stupid and doing some stupid things. But luckily i could somehow 'control' my fall and all I got was a small reddish patch on my left knee. Tsktsk. Proness. Lol! It was qutie a graceful fall? In summary, I can now blade relatively fast and it's all thanks to my Shifu, who is a man (AMANda). Tsktsk.
I got a lift back home by Amanda's dad and her dog happened to be in the car. I was really scared lah. I like dogs, but I'm really fearful that it'll bite me and also the afraid of the ticklish feeling when the fur goes past you. In the end, Amanda persuaded me to touch her dog. So nice! It's really like a soft toy. But I think, I'm still scared of dogs. Probably of the bigs ones and no longer fearful of small dogs. Lol. It's an achievement. Muahaha!
Had a loooong chat with my dad and mom over dinner and I'm really glad we had that talk. It's like a close bonding session and I actually felt quite 'smart' cos we were talking about life and current affairs so I got to flaunt some of my Econs knowledge and hence show my parents that I'm not as ignorant as they think I am though not very knowledgeable too. Hahahaha. Then we talked about my married cousin and another cousin in aussie. Haha.
I'm thinking of re-applying for Australia's university to try for something which I'm really passionate about. People who're close to me should have guessed what's it. Though the chances are close to zero, I'll still try. Haha. I think one of the few things that i can be proud of myself would be my undying spirit. Lol! That sounds wrong. But sometimes even I myself is quite shocked at my perseverance. You might think it's unnecessary attempts or stubborness but I believe in not losing hope. Haha. Note, I'm not selling myself. So, you can never guess the ending for each story. Who knows, eventually, you might get something you actually
want.
Wanting is not a bad thing. Neither is wanting something you can't get. As long as that 'feeling of wanting' is within limits.

Caught
What Happens In Vegas with Shaun at Vivocity today. Hahaha! It's a reaaaaaalaaay nice movie! Love it. I can't believe Ashton kutcher peed into the sink. It was damn hilarious. And I like it when Cameron Diaz brings out the finger with the ring as if she was about to point the middle finger. Lol. All in all it was a great movie. Enjoyed myself laughing at a large part of the movie. I'm hoping to catch
Made Of Honour soon and then
Narnia !
Went for alumni band practice yesterday. The alumni band was 63 members strong yesterday. What a great turnout. I'm liking the slow part in 'Barry Manilow on Tour' a lot now. It's very emotional. Haha. After band practice I went out for dinner and ice cream with my 2 beloved juniors! Because I said I wanted ice cream, the both of them, came out (after going home and for alum prac respectively) just to meet me supposedly for ice cream only. I was so touched! I mean, it's quite rare to find juniors who are willing to come out after an 8-4 band practice plus alumni practice at their secondary school just to meet you for ice cream! So I was really happy. Plus, I got to eat my strawberry cheesecake ice cream! Muahahaha. I ate it again today though, this time with Shaunnie! Yum yum. I think only I am crazy enough to wanna eat it twice in a row.
I'm kinda getting irritated with the way I blog, cos the words don't flow and it always doesn't come out properly. Grr. Shall blog again probably after the concert on Wednesday. Blading with Amanda tomorrow!
Want it, can't want it, want to don't want it.

Mr Jesus, Damn Long, Miss/Mdm Lao Char Bo, Mr Loser ...
Those were the funny names Waiching shared with us when the Germs met up yesterday at City Link's Newyork newyork. It's damn funny. Lol.
Damn Long: 'Hi, my name is damn long.'
Noob: 'How long?'
Haha, abit no link but this was the stupid convo that popped up in my mind when Waiching told us that funny name. Thought of it as I was reminded of some video that was showed to us during Chem or Econs lecture back in VJ. Lol. The video had this part like this:
A: 'Who is the president of China?'
B: 'Hu is the president of China.'
A: 'WHO?!'
B: 'Hu.'
.
.
.
Lol. Haha. Okay, I'm really thinking about the old times, the videos we watched in lectures ... Germany Gang! I was facebook-hopping few days back and saw some Victorians having some 'VJC albums' under their albums section and I really regret not taking
many many photos back in JC cos stupid me was camera shy. Grr. So back to the outing. Alright, it seems like half of Germany gang is headed towards NTU and they will all be staying in hostel together! Gah!! So sad, I'll be staring outta my tiny window in NUS hostel trying to spot Pulau NTU. Muahaha. Zilu's going UCL and Sharon prob SMU. Lol. So for future soccer matches, we'll prob all have to gather in NTU hall and stare into a small TV. Lol. Haha. I will be looking forward to times like these.
Speaking about soccer matches, I realise I will be missing out on a hell lot of stuffs during to me performing in Majestia next Wednesday on the 21st. I'm soooo regretting being part of alumni band because I was being cheapo and wanted to save on the esplanade ticket money. Having said that, I still love playing with all my VJ band peers. Now for the things I'm soooo going to hate myself for missing out.
1. American Idol Finals
Damn it! I wanna watch David Cook win! And I don't wanna be a lagger to watch it on youtube, when everyone is over the craze of who won American Idol. Grrr. It's not even like Top 5 singing or Top 3, it's the FINALS. Argh, now I really wanna pull out my hair. Stupid me.
2. Hiphop dance class
The instructor showed us the cool moves that he was going to teach us next week. Yes, it's not the normal moves that we do. It's really cool moves! I saw him doing it then I was dropping my jaw. I wanna learn that!! And in a bid to save the esplanade ticket money which is 15 bucks (cheapest one), I ended up wasting money worth of one dance lesson which is approximately 18 bucks! Plus all that cool moves. Screams. Check out the cheapo in action!
Ahhh. I hate myself for being a stupid ass. Still, having said that, I think I'll enjoy myself on the concert day. Lol.
I'm really happy today cos I danced well during Hiphop lessons. Haha. I feel so accomplished! Just that today's moves weren't cool enough for me to flaunt to anybody. Ahh! Next weeeeeek. But it was real fun. Cos at least I can do it today compared to Jazz on Monday. Aha, speaking about that, I can turn much more nicely now. Practice makes perfect. Hurhur. And I've been a good girl stretching everyday although each time it'll hurt like crap. I must have stretched very minimally when I was young. Hahaha. And China Man was damn funny today during Hiphop class. I couldn't help but burst into laughter at one point. And the White Man can dance!! He can do running man very well. Hahaha. Running man is something similar to VJ Mass Dance that running man. Just a more awkward and complex one which I found quite challenging. VJ Mass Dance actually has quite a few Hiphop moves. Lol. I miss VJ Mass Dance.
So before we went for hiphop lessons, The Umemployeds went for dinner at Newyork newyork. Yes, back there again. Lol. But today I tried their salmon velvet sandwich instead of the main dishes. Because I took my Hiphop-py cap out today to match my outfit, we ended up taking quite a handful of photos with my cap. Lol! So shall post some pictures now, and then off to sleep. :)

I WANT A SHORT GETAWAY!
I want a short short holiday, just a trip to bangkok, to jeju island, to aussie's beaches .. whereever. Just a proper trip before I embark on a stressful and mugging-filled uni life.
But I know, my mom will never allow that. Too expensive for one whole family of 5 to go, too dangerous for a group of 19-yr-olds to go. Bah!
Went to my grandma's house yesterday to celebrate mother's day which is also my grandmom's birthday. So all my cousins were there too, except one. Haha. My mom was questioning me as to why I didn't talk to them at all during the whole time there. So I had to tell her that I wasn't very comfortable speaking chinese to them and I feel they won't be comfortable speaking to me in English too. Lol. What a crappy excuse. But it's really how I felt. I just, don't like speaking in Chinese. Besides, there is no common topic. I can't possible ask my cousin how's life after registering her marriage. Lol! It's just kinda funny cos we aren't
that close. Anyway, my mixed (Viet-Chinese) baby cousin who's 1 yr of age now is sooo freaking cute! She has this shoulder length hair with cute little bangs! And she's really active. Hahaha.
After hanging around at my grandmom's house, I went off to meet Shaun and Amanda for my first experience of Squash! I remembered how I totally embarrassed myself during squash trials in JC 1 when my racket didn't even touch the ball after serving. Muahaha. So I was having quite a hard time catching the tiny squash ball yest again. Lol. Didn't play much partly cos I couldn't catch the ball. Lol. Squash is hard! I think I can only serve properly. Grrr.
Two days back, I read some girl's blog. She's the same age as me, pregnant and
married. That's like sooooo shocking. I mean, when you normally read in the news about young girls, even younger than 19, being pregnant, you'll think it's not
that weird. But this girl, I kinda knew her from secondary school. Heard about all her life and the issues she got involved in. So I knew she was complicated, but I just didn't expect her to be married and now, 5 months or so into her pregnancy. It's just quite shocking. Whatever it is, I hope she'll have a good marriage life and a happy family with her baby and husband. :)
Haha. Jazz dance lessons again later! Wish me luck in all that stretching. Lol!
* * *
SECOND POST!
Finished my Jazz class and I'm soooo demoralized. I still can't freaking stretch! Seems like I've to stretch intensively everyday. Screams. And I freaking can't turn gracefully. I was like some clumsy bear trying to make beautiful turns but bloody hell failed. Gah! I'm so demoralized! Collon Apostrophe Open Bracket! Hahaha. Nvm, I'll work hard! Wore my new shoe for Jazz classes today and now my leg hurts like crap. The big toe and small toe are both swollen and scarlet red. Lol. So, the shoe only looks nice and feels bad. It felt good when I tried it on. Grr. Moral of the story, don't buy nice shoes! Lol. Comfortable shoes are ugly I think! I only had one pair which was comfortable and pretty. The rest are just 'for show'. LOL, bimbotic shoes.
Met Shukit for dinner at NYDC after Jazz lessons and became totallay bloated after eating the huge serving of sandwich! Lol, yes it's sandwich. But it's those big mega jumbo sandwich and there was two of it. Plus, I drank bout 5 glasses of water? Lol.
I told Josephine about the married girl and she got sooooo excited! That kaypoh poke who said that I was a kaypoh poke. I'm guessing she's checking out the blog today and doing whatever that I did. Lol. Which was to look into the archives. I admit I'm a kaypoh poke. Lol! Jo's last week of work this coming week and then we can form a new group known as The Unemployed comprising Shukit, Jo and yours truly! Yes, so more blading sessions and hanging out to come.
Anw, celebrating Waiching's birthday together with the rest of the Germs tomorrow. Yayness.
Now, back to my graceful turnings! Hahaha. By next week, I can turn like a beautiful ... bear? Tsk tsk.

I think sometime back, I did a survey and mentioned that I haven't been affected by rising food costs. Haha. That's sooo wrong of me to have said that. I'm totally affected especially when sushi price in Sakae rose form 1.99 bucks to 2.29. Plus all that GST, it's very much more expensive. Jojo and I found out the price increase only when we stepped into Sakae on Wednesday before hiphop dance class and flipped the stupid menu. Grrr. Now the buffet is so much more worth it cos it simply rose from 13.90 to 15.90. I swear one day I'm gonna buffet till Sakae goes broke. Hahaha.
Hiphop lessons on Wednesday was fun and alright. Just that it's very hard to get the hiphop feel so it kinda looked like aerobics initially. Lol. But I think I've gotta be more daring and be more 'yo-yo-like' so make it look hiphop-like. I was glad we didn't have to do that much stretching compared to Jazz. But I suddenly feel Jazz should be quite alright, apart from the stretching. Haha. During hiphop I still had some of the Jazz moments. So funny. Was telling Jo that maybe I've to live the 'yo-yo-life' for one week and then I can do hiphop nicely. Then she replied that my Jazz will die big time. Lol. Yeah. YO, YO, YO!
I'm thinking of staying in nus hostel. Prob in Kent Ridge or Sheares Hall. So anyone who is highly likely to go NUS and wants to stay in hostel please tell meeee! I don't wanna be the only one staying in hostel. But the study environment at home is really way too noisy to concentrate. So I've no choice but to run away! Hurhurs.
On a random note, Jason Castro is finally outta American Idol!! Haha. Thanks to Simon's ownage statement of, 'Pack your bags'. Muahahaha. Yes, and he got sent back home! He has been staying for too long already. I can't believe he stayed longer than Carly! Carly can sing! Anw, I'm soooo hooked onto David Cook now! Especially on his rendition of 'Innocent' & 'Hungry Like The Wolf'. I got sick of 'Always Be My Baby' since i've been listening to it for bout 2 weeks almost everyday. Lol. I hope he'll win the competition though at the very end of the day, it's none of my business anyway (quote dad). I think David people can sing and Amanda agrees too. I remember supporting some David guy in Singapore Idol few yrs back. Lol!

STRRRRRRREEEEEETTTTTTTCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHH!Today was my first dance class at Jitterbugs Swingapore and it's Jazz today! Haha. I think I'm totallaaaaay unstretchable. Lol. I remember how I used to flop my sit & reach in Napfa and how I can never touch my toes like others. So today was a really massive stretch-till-i-die-day for me. Lol. Feeling ultra wobbly now, but I can strecth much further now. Haha. Jazz is very much like ballet. A lot of turning and tiptoe-ing. Can't believe I'm actually doing some 'like' ballet. Bwahaha! I can't do my left tiptoes across the floor. The right one was fine, I think. The tip toe part is very fun actually and by the end of the course, I should be able to turn and tiptoe and turn and tiptoe across the dance floor. For one part we were all made to queue up and tiptoe across the studio like row by row, like BALLERINAS! So I was forced to tiptoe properly otherwise I will just make a fool of myself. Tsktsk. I can't turn for nuts! Got all giddy after all that turning. Haha. Think my abs and muscles are all gonna come out nice ... SOON. And it'll only be more and more stretching on Mondays for two months! I'm VERY much looking forward to hiphop dance class this wednesday cos there'll definitely less stretching and more cool moves!!
Before I went for dance classes I met up with Amanda for some Haagen Daaz. So I finally had my strawberry cheesecake ice cream after that long term craving. Lol. Yayness. Then we had sometime before I had to go down to suntec to meet Jo. So we played pool. But, to be exact, we played the noobest pool game ever! It was damn hilarious. First it was the white ball incident. We thought after the white ball got into the hole, it'll roll to the same place as the other balls. But instead it went to the other end. Lol. And for qutie some time, we were throwing balls into the few holes just to get the 'stuck' white ball out. So retarded. Then after awhile Amanda's que poked me in the face! And I had chalk all over my nose. How noobish can we get. It was totallay funny lah. Lol.
In summary, today was an excitingly tiring day due to Jazz and a happy noobish day due to ice cream and pool!

Today I went blading with Shaun, Amanda and Luke. Fell only once and that was when I was trying to go at a pro-er speed and with a pro style. Lol. I think I'll take 10 frigging years to fully master my blading and become a pro blader. That would be when I'm 24. Lol! So maybe jiayun and zilu can get me out to blade again when I'm 24. Lol. Anw, East Coast Park was totally flooded with people. It was quite hard to move through the crowd in the middle part of ECP. And I was kinda essentially crawling when I was aorund the VJ area of ECP firstly cos of the people, secondly cos I was rather tired already. Haha. Was wobbling-crawling my way outta the crowd. Eww. Un-proness. And I became tanner today. But I don't see the tanlines from the wrist guards and knee guards, which kinda mean I didn't become much tanner.
We then went to Hongkong cafe after our blading. Had Yuan Yang. Niccceeeee. It's some coffee and tea mix which according to me has more coffee taste than tea but according to luke, has more tea taste than coffee. Lol. It was recommended by Jojo anyways.
Jojo smsed me to ask me if I wanna leanr dance with her! Finally I can get someone to go for dance lessons with me. Have been trying to find people to learn but no one seems interested. Lol. I wanna learn Hiphop and Reggae. So hopefully, picking up dance will really materialize.
I feeling much better about FASS today. Not because I'm more confident of the prospects, but cos I know I'll not be suffering there and that it might be something that I'll grow to like. My mom made a rather irritating remark by saying that luckily I can go uni. Grrrr. But I'll prob appeal to NUS Biz and really still praying that I get NTU Biz. Hehehs. Nothing wrong with hoping though I'll prolly still be heading to NUS FASS eventually. Lol.
Alright, shall stop here for now. Shaun sent me home and left behind his phone and wallet. so now I've head down to return him his stuffs. Bye!
